Laminate Countertops
Laminate countertops are the most common type of countertop. They are well known for their affordable pricing and large selection of colors and finishes. Laminate tops require the use of a drop in or deck mount sink and usually show seams in corners and long countertop runs. The three brands of laminate we carry are Formica, Wilsonart, and Pionite. Laminate countertops can be used in the kitchen and bath as well as throughout your home. |

Granite Countertops
Granite countertops provide a wide variety of colors and patterns. They are generally able to withstand heat and are extremely resistant to scratches, nicks and cuts. You may cut directly on this type of countertop without risk of damage to the countertop, although you will likely dull or damage your knives. Seams in a granite countertop are visible. This material allows you to use any type of sink including under mount sink. Granite is a highly polished natural surface and is shinier than quartz countertop material. No two pieces of stone will be exactly the same, so we recommend anyone purchasing granite to preview or hand pick the stone to be used in your home. Granite countertops can be used in the kitchen and bath as well as throughout your home. |

Wood Countertops
Wood or butcher block countertops should only be used in areas designated for food preparation or as an accent in your kitchen. We do not recommend wooden tops to be used in large areas or near a water source. You can cut directly on this type of countertop but it will show marks from being used as a cutting surface. Wood tops can be sanded and refinished. |

Solid Surface Countertops
Solid Surface countertops allow the sink and back splash to be perfectly integrated and "seamless". Solid Surface tops provide a large selection of colors and allow more versatility in sizes, shapes and edge profiles than most other types of countertops. Solid surface is nonporous, easy to clean, renewable, and mold, stain and bacteria resistant. Solid surface tops are almost completely repairable and renewable, so fear not! Solid surface countertops allow you to use an integrated solid surface sink or an under mount sink of your choice. Solid surface seams are generally undetectable. We carry Corian, Wilsonart Gibralter, Wilsonart Earthstone, Formica Solid Surface, Hi-Macs, Hi-Macs Volcanics, Hanex, Solitex, Staron, Solitex, Meganite and a unique new brand of solid surface called Mystera. Mystera has been generating a "buzz", because it is the first solid surface countertop to replicate the look of natural stone and marble. Solid Surface countertops can be used in the kitchen and bath as well as throughout your home. |

Quartz Countertops
Quartz countertops provide a large selection of colors. Because they are man-made they generally do not contain a pattern and are mostly uniform throughout a single slab and from one slab to the next. Quartz countertops are generally able to withstand heat and are extremely resistant to scratches, nicks and cuts. You may cut directly on this type of countertop without risk of damage to the countertop, although you will likely dull or damage your knives. Seams in a quartz countertop are visible. These countertops allow you to use any type of sink including under mount sinks. We carry Silestone, Zodiaq, Cambria, CeasarStone and Formica Stone. Quartz countertops can be used in the kitchen and bath as well as throughout your home. |
